Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MH-CET) or MAH-MBA/MMS-CET is a computer-based test for admission to the first year of two-year full time Postgraduate Degree Courses in MBA/MMS and PGDBM/PGDM in Government, University Managed, University Departments and Unaided Institutes in the state of Maharashtra. It is typically the last exam of the exam season in a year.
Some of the top colleges accepting MAH-MBA/MMS CET scores are: JBIMS Mumbai, Sydenham Mumbai, K J Somaiya Mumbai and PUMBA Pune.
MAH-MBA/MMS CET is typically conducted in the second week of March. In 2020, the registration started in the month of January 2020 and the exams have been postponed until further notice.
Any eligible candidate, who aspires to join a B-School through MAH-MBA/MMS CET, is required to register online for MAH-MBA/MMS CET first and pay a fee of Rs. 800 (General category) and Rs. 600 (reserved category). To know about the procedure in detail you can visit their website.
Essential academic qualifications:
The candidate must have passed minimum three-year duration Bachelor’s Degree awarded by any of the Universities recognised by University Grants Commission or Association of Indian Universities in any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent (at least 45% in case of candidates of backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) or its equivalent. The candidate must have appeared for the final year examination of any Bachelor’s degree to be awarded by any of the Universities recognised by University Grants Commission or Association of Indian Universities in any discipline .
Age and number of attempts:
There is no age bar for taking MAH-MBA/MMS CET.
The selection of candidates is dependent on the marks scored by them in the MAH-MBA/MMS CET exam. After the announcement of MAH-MBA/MMS CET result, participating institutes which accept MAH-MBA/MMS CET score will announce their respective cutoffs.
Phase-I: Online examination (MAH-MBA/MMS CET)
MAH-MBA/MMS CET is a pure speed test with 200 questions to be attempted over 2.5 hours. However, there is no negative marking. It is a computer-based test, spread over four sections. Also, MAH-MBA/MMS CET is the only test that has a unique section on Visual Reasoning.

Each participating management college will have its own MAH-MBA/MMS CET cutoff. After the declaration of result MAH-MBA/MMS CET, counselling process will start in various colleges. On the basis of merit list, candidates will get shortlisted for admission into respective management colleges. MAH-MBA/MMS CET counselling will be held through online mode. Candidates have to book their seats as per their prioritise colleges. During the admission process candidates need to produce relevant documents for verification rounds.
