* In case RBI Grade B 2021 (PY 2022) exam is scheduled after January 31, 2022 we will plan an extension accordingly.

Methodology: We will try to cover the static concepts and fundamentals of subjects in pre-recorded sessions so that you can watch them at your own pace. Also, we will give you lots of material to read, to supplement your learning from the sessions. You are expected to treat each pre-recorded session like a teacher-driven class and watch it on the day of the release itself. It will be similar to a live class, and you will be expected to complete it in one sitting while following the instructions of the mentor. The live sessions will be dedicated to doubt resolution and other stuff that we think may require interaction.

Study material: You will get access to video classes, live sessions, recordings of live classes, and a closed community for general/academic discussions, queries, resolution of doubts and other academic activities such as quizzes and writing assessments. We will give you the complete study material for Phase I & Phase II exam which would be in the form of pre-recorded video lectures, live sessions and PDF lessons.
Mock Tests (for Phase I students): Complimentary access to RBI Grade B (Phase I) Test Series of PracticeMock
Mock Tests (for Phase II students): Complimentary access to an RBI Grade B (Phase II) Test Series for those students who clear the Phase I exam

The Most Comprehensive RBI Grade B Course ever: Keeping in mind the difficulty level of the RBI Grade B Phase I Exam this year, we have decided to step in and help you clear this critical phase of this exam as well. As pioneers in clearing aptitude exams, the Meritshine faculty are the best mentors that you can get to clear Phase I of the selection process. Adding to it, our powerful Phase II course (most questions in this year's papers came from what we had shared in our course through various interactions - infact, the teaching framework was such that our students were well-equipped to tackle every question in the exam), you will get the best mentoring experience to crack this exam. Also, we will help all those students with their interview preparation as well who clear Phase II of the selection process. That makes it a complete program. You will not need any resource apart from this program to crack the exam.

Eligibility: Only those students are eligible for this exam who have scored minimum 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD) in their graduation or minimum 55% marks (pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD) in aggregate in their post-graduation. So, please make sure you are eligible before enrolling.
Disclaimer: Please note that in case RBI brings in any more changes to the Eligibility Criteria at a later stage (such as re-introducing 60% criteria for Class Xth and/or XIIth) then we will be NOT responsible for any such changes. So, please make sure that you are safely eligible for taking this exam before enrolling for this course.

Familiarity: We expect only those students to enrol in our paid programs who have seen at least some part of the relevant content on our YouTube channel, and are convinced that we will be able to help them with their preparation. Moreover, you should be comfortable with our language, mode of delivery, teaching methodology, etc. Please do not enrol if you aren't comfortable with our style of teaching, or have got any kind of doubts or apprehensions regarding the quality, coverage, or any other matter.

Expectation: Though we will do almost everything from the basics, we still expect you to be familiar with our teaching style and comfortable with the techniques discussed in our YouTube lessons (both for Phase I and Phase II). We will prescribe some prerequisites in the program orientation sessions, and will expect you to follow the advice. For example, in English Grammar, we will not waste time in repeating the basics. There is a well-structured playlist for Grammar on our YouTube channel which we would ask you to complete before moving to the Grammar sessions in the program. Similarly, some basic accounting lectures are also a good pre-watch before watching the videos in the program. Also, there might be some pre-reading material that will be shared from time to time. It is expected that any such pre-reading material provided should be read through completely before the sessions to maximise the learnings.
Please understand that this is primarily a knowledge-based exam which requires extensive (i)Reading,(ii)Note-taking (iii)Retention, and (iv)Writing. Each of these 4 elements need to work together to get the desired results.
While we are ready to put in efforts for you but you should be equally ready for working hard and follow our instructions completely to derive the best out of this program. If you follow our regular instructions properly, it will save us time and we will be able to make better use of the sessions in this program, and thus deliver maximum value to the students i.e. YOU. Also, it will take your understanding of the subjects to a completely different level, and you will be able to extract the maximum out of the sessions.

Computer and Internet: You need to have a good, stable internet connection to attend the live classes. You may use either a computer (desktop/laptop) or a mobile device (phone/tablet) for watching the video classes and attending the live sessions. What one chooses to use depends on one's preference only. However, if you don't have a good internet connection, using a mobile device would be advisable since there's an option in our app Meritshine Prep to download the videos first and then watch them. The app is available for android devices, and can be downloaded from Google Play.

Live classes: All live sessions will be conducted at 09:00 pm. They can be attended through either a computer (laptop/desktop) or a mobile device (phone/tab).

Recorded sessions: You will be able to watch the recordings of live sessions, if you miss a particular session or you want to repeat some part of it. All the pre-recorded classes and live session recordings will be available on your course portal till January 31, 2022. You may watch a video multiple times also, if needed. However, if a login ID is found to be used on multiples devices and/or multiple locations regularly, or videos are found to be played for an inordinate amount of time, it will be considered a suspicious activity and your account may be suspended because of it.

Downloading of videos: You will be able to download the pre-recorded classes and recordings of live sessions on your mobile device for offline use. However, this will be possible only through our app Meritshine Prep, which will work in a similar manner as Netflix, Hotstar and Amazon Prime Video do. You can download the videos but you will not be able to extract them out of the device. The good part about this feature is that you will not be required to go online every time you want to watch even a small section of a session again. It will also save your internet data, and will be particularly useful for those students who don't have a great internet connection. This app will be available only for Android 4.4 (Kitkat) and above. Needless to say, the downloaded sessions will also stop working once the program validity expires. Those students who intend to use only a computer to watch the videos will need to connect to the internet every time they want to watch them as downloading is not possible on a computer.

You can enrol under one of the three options given below. Please bear the following things in mind:

  1. Please make the payment only if you are 100% sure you want to pursue the course and possess the necessary infrastructure to run it smoothly. It will be impossible for us to refund the fee.
  2. You will need to make a login ID on the course portal before buying the program, if you do not have that already.
  3. Please put your Name, Mobile Number, E-Mail ID and complete Postal Address, wherever asked, very carefully. Do not use fake details anywhere. You might be asked to furnish proof of identity at any stage during the program. If you fail to do so, your access to the course portal would be revoked and the program fee forfeited.
  4. Do not share the login credentials of this portal with anybody. All the activity here is traced by us. This is the portal where you will get the links for all the live sessions, and you will be able to watch the pre-recorded classes and recordings of live sessions.
  5. You will get an automated payment confirmation e-mail, once you complete the payment successfully. It means that your admission is confirmed, and you don't need to do anything after that. You will get another e-mail from us by 06:00 pm on April 18 that will contain further instructions. Also, please add info@meritshine.com into your address books to prevent any of our e-mails from going into your junk/spam/marketing folder.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you are confused about it, go for the Comprehensive Program (Phase I + Phase II). That's what most of the students should go for by default. However, we have given you an option to enrol for only Phase I or only Phase II since some students wanted us to keep that option. E.g. If you are somebody already enrolled in our SBI PO + IBPS PO 2021 Program, then you don't need to enrol for Phase I of this program. Just enrol in Phase II, and buy a test series for Phase I separately. You will be fine.

It is tough to answer; you will need to decide that for yourself. Even we did not use to offer a Phase I Program till last year as most of our students are generally good at aptitude tests (many of them are our ex-students of Bank PO programs). However, the difficulty level of Phase I was such in the last exam that it took most by surprise and rattled even the most well-prepared students as well, who were probably a little over-confident about clearing Phase I. Considering the fact that the RBI Grade B Phase I this year was quite tough (can be compared to the SBI/IBPS PO Main Exam), it becomes all the more important to ensure thorough preparation for Phase I while preparing for Phase II. So, we decided to step in and help you clear this critical phase of the exam as well. The reality is that though Phase I is just qualifying in nature, there will be no Phase II for you without first clearing Phase I. Also, with our expertise in aptitude testing, guiding you to ace Phase I will be quite simple for us.

The program offered by us for this year is the most comprehensive course that we have offered till date. It brings in the best features of our Phase I expertise and also the conceptual understanding, knowledge horizon and writing aspects of the Phase II exam.
Phase I : Our Course will cover all the topics across all sections being tested by RBI quite comprehensively with enough practice material and tests that no other source would be needed.
Phase II : If you look at our style of teaching, it was always tailored to help students understand the fundamentals rather than just random rote learning. Owing to this approach, our students should always be well-prepared for any unforeseen change in pattern. Having said that, we will be ensuring complete coverage of the syllabus across all topics across all Papers in a comprehensive and engaging manner through regular engagement over the closed-community group as well as a mix of pre-recorded & live sessions and PDFs for study. The static topics and the current affairs will be given equal importance with a clear focus on helping students understand the interlinkages between concepts and the current affairs. While we have always helped our students in their descriptive writing assignments through feedback sessions and self-evaluation techniques, that emphasis will be even more stronger this year considering the pattern change. We plan to do this through regular assignments with model answers being shared for sample questions, time-bound feedback sessions and self-evaluation ingrained into your preparation. Also, we will also be guiding you with models to hone your content generation skills as well, which is a critical component of the preparation for Descriptive Writing.

Yes, we will do that, and then expect you to work regularly towards it. That's the only way you start writing better. We encourage students to use the closed group to share what they have written and take feedback from others. Descriptive Writing improvement in all Papers (ESI, F&M and English Language) will be an integral part of the course through a variety of regular time-bound assignments (in the form of (1) self-evaluation mode or (2) through model answers or (3) peer-evalutaion mode or (4) Faculty Feedback mode). Also, we will be guiding you with models to hone your content generation skills as well, which is a critical component of the preparation for Descriptive Writing.

You get a call, and we will leave no stone unturned to help you convert the call into a selection at RBI!
We firmly believe that any aspiring student who has cleared Phase II has achieved something special and deserves our help and guidance. We will provide all the required support to such students through Mock Interviews, Guided Calls and Video Sessions that will help you ace the interview. While we will be there to support you throughout, we expect you to understand it is your homework and relentless efforts that will make you crack the personality assessment stage.

Those who are planning to appear for exams like SBI PO alongside RBI Grade B, should ideally join our SBI PO + IBPS PO 2021 program separately, alongwith enrolling for RBI Grade B Phase II. That will be more than adequate for your RBI Grade B Phase I preparation as well. You will then just need to buy a test series for Phase I additionally. However, the SBI PO Course Validity will be as per the SBI PO timelines and not RBI Grade B timelines. So, it boils down to which is your bigger target. If your bigger target is SBI PO then go for our SBI PO + IBPS PO 2021 Program and our RBI Grade B Phase II Program. But if your bigger target is RBI Grade B then go for our RBI Grade B Comprehensive Program (Phase I + Phase II).
PS: The RBI Grade B Phase I Course will, in a way, be a subset of the SBI PO + IBPS PO 2021 Program. The content will be very similar and nobody should enrol in both the programs together.

We have put loads of good, relevant, structured content on our YouTube channel for anybody to use, including but not limited to the SBI PO 2017 Playlist. Study from it, follow the advice, practise hard and you should do well.
Our paid programs are meant to build further upon this understanding that you get from our YouTube lessons. They cover a much larger variety of problems, and are meant for those students only who want a deeper engagement with a focused group. So, if one understands the way we teach, and is willing to put in the extra effort, this Phase I Program is definitely going to take him/her a couple of levels above from the current position.
All these sessions will be designed to augment your understanding of the subjects tested in the exam, in line with the latest exam pattern and difficulty level, and will include all kinds of questions that have been asked in the exam and their reasonable possible variations. Considering the level of competition, a more tailored and focused approach is needed, which is what the Paid Program offers you in abundance, thereby significantly improving the probability of your success in the exam.

No! You will get Phase I Test Series if you enrol for either Phase I Program or the Comprehensive Program (Phase I + Phase II).

You need to decide this for yourself. It depends on how hard you are willing to push yourself. RBI Grade B is a far superior job, and so it seems to make a lot more sense for you. However, if we talk practically, the chances of cracking RBI Grade B for even a good student are relatively low (because of very few vacancies), and so you should not take SBI/IBPS PO out of the picture completely. Start working for RBI Grade B, and keep working for SBI/IBPS PO (it will help you for Phase-I of RBI Grade B as well). You should be able to focus solely on RBI Grade B once the SBI/IBPS PO process is over.

Through a closed community, much like the "Meritshine Study Group" on Facebook, but much better managed and controlled since the number of students will be much smaller. Though we always try to respond to every single student on any of our platforms, please don't enrol if you expect "individual doubt solving sessions" from the faculty. It will not be a practical expectation. In fact, it is just a buzzword generally used for selling classroom programs. Nothing works better than collective wisdom, if the people are smart, like-minded and focused. Moreover, most of the doubts are common. So, if you are regular and sincere, you would realize that most of the things you wanted to ask are getting answered automatically. In fact, you get to learn a lot of other interesting and useful things as well, by going through other students' queries and their responses. When a few good people interact, they learn from each other and are generally able to find solutions to even the most complicated problems. Whenever needed, we will also be available for contributing to the discussions and helping you with your questions. No queries go unanswered on the platform unless they are irrelevant or repeated. Our past students can vouch for that. If there is something that we feel requires more attention, we will take it up during the sessions. All the students are expected to visit this closed community page regularly and participate. There will be no spam or useless talk over there. It'll have just what you need - relevant academic stuff.

Yes, it is very important. While our course, in itself, is very powerful in terms of content and pedagogy as compared to other ordinary video courses, this group is one of the reasons why this program brings a lot more value. Apart from what we have mentioned above, there are some activities which are just not possible to do individually. For example, we conduct quizzes on the FB group to ensure you are keeping abreast of the current affairs, and for the revision of important parts of the syllabus like schemes, reports and other concept-oriented questions. Also, we generally open a thread to give feedback to interested students on the quality of their writing. We can do it individually as well for a few students but then it won't benefit everyone. So, we do it on the group. Even if one chooses not to put his/her piece for evaluation, one can still learn by looking at what others have written and the feedback they have received. That's the utility of a good community. For anybody who feels facebook may prove to be a distraction, we advise creating a separate ID just for this program. Do not add any friends to it, do not browse, just use this group through that ID. And you will soon realize how powerful a tool FB can be. You just need to learn to use it optimally for your preparation. Just as it has worked for thousands of students earlier, it will work for you as well.

No, you don't need to buy anything else for the preparation of the exam. We will give you all what you need to study in the form of pre-recorded video lectures, live sessions and PDF lessons, and completing all of it thoroughly would be a phenomenal achievement.

No, the functionality to print the PDFs is not available. Allowing printing of PDFs can lead to blatant copyright violations and the prints can be shared outside the course portal very easily. While you may not intend to use the prints in this manner, the possibility of someone else misusing the PDFs becomes much higher. You will have privileged access to this content as a paid student, and even you would not want it to be available freely for everyone to use and distribute.

Yes, you will be able to understand everything and do well. A management background or prior subject knowledge isn't really required to be able to do well in this exam. So that's not really an issue. The only requirement would be to find time to study, lots of time. This exam will need that, since the syllabus is very vast. We will try our best to give you only the relevant stuff to study, but even that will take time to go through and revise. So, if you are prepared to slog, put in good effort, you will be fine, don't worry.

Tough to comment; nobody knows that at this stage. The exam date varies a lot. Looking at the trend for the last few years, the minimum time left for the exam should be around 7-8 months from now i.e. April 2021. It can go as high as 9-10 months as well.

Yes, you can, nothing is impossible. But it will be extremely tough to manage, you will need near superhuman abilities to crack the exam if you start that late. The syllabus for this exam is very vast. You generally get just a little more than two months to prepare after the release of notification. So any serious candidate targeting RBI Grade B should start preparing at the earliest, if not started already.

It is very tough to quantify the time needed, but you will need to be very sincere and focused. That's of paramount importance. You will also need to be regular. The number of hours of preparation one needs to crack the exam will vary from one individual to another, but the more you work towards it, the better your chances become. It is a highly coveted job. You don't just need to be good, you need to be better than your competitors. It is definitely manageable along with a job. Be prepared to make a few sacrifices if you have to, in order to stay committed to your preparation. The results will be really worth the efforts you put in. And managing your time well will be the key here. Also, considering the difficulty level of Phase I in the last exam, it would be foolhardy to neglect Phase I preparation. So, as a serious aspirant, you would need to dedicate time to prepare well for both the phases. Don't worry, we will guide you completely on this front during our orientation lectures.

You will get the schedule for upcoming two-three weeks, and we will keep updating it. It will have the release dates of all the pre-recorded classes as well as the dates of live sessions.

It will vary. We will start with 2-3 sessions per week, and will keep increasing it. We will change the frequency as and when required.

It's a little tricky to answer. We are not planning to dump a lot of random material on you at once to make the program look content-heavy. You need to understand that this exam is a lot different from many others in the sense that a large part of the syllabus is dynamic in nature. We will finish the static parts first, around a couple of months before the exam, and then continue doing the dynamic parts till the exam happens, along with revision sessions. The challenge for us, would never be the scarcity of study material, but to give you the most relevant (yet comprehensive) lessons in an organized, easy-to-learn, easy-to-retain format. The challenge for you, would never be the dearth of content, but to keep the motivation levels up, and find enough time to study for the next several months.

Sessions can be conducted both on weekdays and weekends. The students will come to know about the exact schedule for the next two weeks in advance so that they can plan accordingly. The time for both pre-recorded and live sessions will be 09:00 pm, irrespective of the day of the week.

No, they will look and sound much better since they will be recorded for this purpose only.

Yes, it can be done by accessing a portal (for which you will get login credentials post enrolment). You will be able to watch the recording of any particular live session, a day after the session has been conducted.

There is no limit as such to the number of times you can watch them. If required, you can do it multiple times, as long as you don't misuse it.

This program is designed for a single person, and has been priced accordingly. You are not supposed to share your login credentials with others. As long as you are not planning to do that, you don't have a reason to worry.

Though it varies depending upon the content of the session, the data consumed during a session rarely exceeds 500 MB. Most of the times, it is less than that. However, we recommend having a good data plan, since this course will require availability of good internet at every stage.

The size of these videos will generally vary from 200 to 500 MB, depending upon the type of content.

Yes, you can, if your device runs on Android 4.4 (Kitkat) or above.

No, the app required to run the videos isn't available for iOS yet. You will need either an Android phone or a computer.

Please enrol in the program using a web browser through the link given on this page. Once you enrol, the program would be visible in the mobile app as well when you login with the same credentials.

We are sorry; that's not an option. It is a comprehensive program that covers the complete syllabus of RBI Grade B (DR) - General (Phase I & Phase II) exam. We run our program like real classes, and it's not possible for us to make multiple variations thereof. If we try dividing the students subject-wise, the program would be reduced to just multiple video courses. And we do not want to offer video courses, not currently at least. What we offer is a very powerful complete preparatory program after which you won't need anything else to crack the exam. It offers all the functionality of a conventional classroom program, and much better features, powered by technology.
Having said that, we do provide you with these three variants:
(i) Comprehensive (Phase I + Phase II)
(ii) Phase I Only
(iii) Phase II only

All such people should not enrol:
- Anybody who cannot work hard, and thinks just watching the sessions will get him/her selected because so many people attribute their success to Meritshine. That's not gonna happen. We guided them and they worked hard. That's how it happened.
- Anybody who expects special individual attention from us. That will be an unrealistic expectation. Though, we are always ready to answer any questions, we won't make you believe it will be like "individual tutoring". Don't join us if that's the reason. (However, all our students know, we try to respond to every single query even on our YouTube channel and our FB group. What we can say is that unless you have impractical expectations about personal attention, you will not feel disappointed.)
- Anybody who finds it difficult to understand the English spoken by us. Please check our YouTube sessions for that. The program will not be bilingual; it will be in English only.
- Anybody who wants to just learn the basics, and doesn't really expect to get selected. We discourage you to join the program since the program will be quite rigorous in nature. Watch our YouTube sessions first. There is so much to learn from there. Join our next program, once you are comfortable with how we teach.
- Anybody with poor internet connectivity and/or no decent device to attend the sessions.

No, our platform does not have the functionality of accepting part payments.

No, once the course is over everything connected with the course is over. Validity of all videos, PDFs and all other things shared as part of the course would expire on the day the course validity ends.

Hope the FAQ responses addressed all your concerns.
